Disappointing experience on a trusted brand website

I bought shoes (3 pairs) online. I made immediate payment and then nothing happens. The status on my order did not change. On phoning them 4 days later I am told they are having issues with stock and in response to my email requesting a refund, I was told they are having a stock take. Nowhere on their website do they inform anyone that there will be a delay in delivery due to stock take. Be very careful when you buy from Ipanema or Intershu Online (same place)
