Can you afford to lose your rental deposit.

Due to Financial Constraints based on an unexpected pregnancy and the Covid situation we had to notify our Landlords that we need to kove to a cheaper home. We gave them the required months notice and have subsequently moved. We paid a huge Deposit of R9350 of which we expected about R5700 back due to certain clauses.we have now been informed we are not receiving anything back due to an early cancellatoon clause in 1.27 which I have never ever heard of. I would like to caution any potential clients of Investor real Estate to avoid them at all costs as they will end up losing their deposit as we did.
