Intertown Destroys 2 separate shipments
We have used Intertown twice to transport Solar panels from East London to Knysna & both times the panels were destroyed in transit. The second time we asked them to inspect the panels before loading and ensure they are secured for transport in a safe manner. they broke them anyway. Nolan keeps referring to cctv footage that shows the panels being loaded and offloaded safely but admits that the panels were probably damaged due to reckless driving. Intertown has verbally accepted responsibility in respect to their staffs bad driving but claim that they don't have insurance, so do not accept financial liability for the damages.

I subsequently contact my insurance, namely Old Mutual who have advised me that they will cover the claim but they will claim back from Intertown Transport as there is a liability/insurance facility in place which they are eluding to. I am asking for Intertown to cover the replacement cost of the 3 Solar Panels That were destroyed and their relevant freight costs as we were still billed for the freight of the damaged goods.
