Useless Service and misguided information

I had to email, skype, facebook the owner, try and call, send sms's for Intertel for them to get information and get started with an urgent case I needed opened for harassment.

I was advised to go for one of the two options and was told at most worse case scenario for either option it would be R5000, I paid R1500 for them to start tracing a number that was active at the time but no replies from anyone. I asked for a meeting to see how we go about this matter to get it done quick and done right now I'm being told to fill out forms, if I want the other option it would be R9000 deposit so it will add up, two PI's were apparently assigned to my case and one has rep**** but doesn't call.

These people seem to be a big con on it's own, I'm supposed to run around to the magistrate and all that when that's the option I paid for.

Utterly useless and it's owner doesn't bother replying well no one does.

Brett Powell doesn't even reply and he is the MD.

You opted for the cheaper of the two options, that is, the one in which YOU visit the court and get the ball rolling, not US. To date you have not completed that step of the process despite numerous requests for you to do so. Nothing can continue until such time as you do complete the steps as outlined in our emails to you.
Best regards,

I’ll stop short of calling you a **** and give you the benefit of the doubt that you had no idea how misleading your hellopeter.com complaint was. Let’s start with your allegation that I never responded to you. Do you even realize that you haven’t sent me a single email? I’ve checked our email server and found no emails addressed to me. I did however find emails addressed to bren*****ertel.co.za dated 23/4 and 29/6. No such person or email exists and that is why no reply was received. Secondly, we’ve emailed you regularly since April in connection with this case. The instructions we’ve provided all along are clear (i'll publish them if you dispute this so that the public can judge for themselves). You have consistently failed to follow our instructions. Your position seems to be that it took 2 weeks to get this case started and therefore your months of inaction are somehow our fault. Are you really blaming us for your failure to apply for the interim protection order? It took you over a month and a half to complete the initial survey. Your excuse (26/6) was that “I've been a busy with work and hardly had the time to look at my personal emails.” On 1/7 you committed to going to the Magistrate’s court “first thing Monday” to apply for the interim protection order yet still haven’t done so. Not only this, but you HAVEN'T contacted us since committing to apply for the interim protection order - either by email, Skype, SMS, WhatsApp or any other method.
Don't forget that you were initially given two options and you specifically chose the option that requires you to institute proceedings against the offender:
"Hi Kavesh,
Thank you for getting in touch.
We can most certainly assist you in putting an end to the harassment, identifying the culprit(s), bringing those responsible to justice and getting your life back.
To do this we offer two options depending on how you want to handle things:
1. If you want to deal with the matter yourself (i.e. confront the culprit and resolve the matter privately)
In this case we would use confidential sources and proprietary methods to identify the culprit. This often includes linking the cellphone number to the handsets in which it has been used, and then linking those handsets to all other cellphone numbers used with them...or using cellphone tracking to include or exclude suspects. There is considerably more that can be done and we'd need to consider all the information you have available before coming up with a plan of action and estimate of costs. This is the more expensive option of the two.
2. If you want to take legal action against the culprit (********, civil or any other legal action)
In this case we will use legal channels to obtain the information needed to identify and locate the culprit. The reason for this is that the information will be usable as evidence in any future legal action (whereas information obtained in the first option above could not be used to open a ******** case or sue the culprit). This costs R1,500.00-R2,500.00 (the more complex the matter, the more expensive). You will be required at some point to either open a police case or institute proceedings against the culprit (neither of these options will cost you anything). This is the cheaper option.
Let me know your thoughts and a little more about the harassment so that I can start giving you more detailed information and more accurate pricing.
Regards,
Angela"

Hi Brett
I apologise if my hellopeter remarks were harsh, but I didn't send an email to you directly but sent a fb msg and a sms as well as whatsapps messages and emails to a number to colleagues for the case to first even start. I requested a call or meeting to I could see which way to go but that never happened. The other option I was told would maybe be maximum R5000 than where does a minimum retainer of R9000 come from? There have been delays from my side I admit but I did go to the magistrates court but couldn't wait as it was busy but I've supp**** other information that I was under the impression could be used to track this person as ever 2 to 3 months the number is changed and it's frustrating.
The information I understood before finding the person is that Intertel use the phone numbers and IMEI's to get all the information than we proceed to the courts.

I appreciate the response from Brent and after reading it, I do have faith that Intertel are a very good company and all the means and resources to do a solid investigative job in as per customer request.
