Installation costs thumb-sucking?!

Hello Peter,

The first time i dealt with IGEN was about 3 months ago via telephone. I spoke to a lady named Tracy, from their PE office on ********** , regarding wireless internet for my home. She informed me that the installation cost at my location will be R2000-00 and that i should fill in the first page of the application form and send it back to her in order for her to send a technician to my home for a line of site check. I did this and after about 3 weeks, and still no technician, i decided to visit their Jeffrey's Bay office to find out whats the holdup. Here i was informed that their PE office placed my location under the wrong area, they had it under Kareedouw area instead of Humansdorp area. I was also formed that the installation cost will now come down to R1200-00, due to the change in area. Bout a week later a technician visited my home and line of site was established but due to unforeseen circumstances i could not continue with the application. I phoned their Jeffrey's Bay office on Saturday 2017-09-16 regarding a new application and was informed that the installation cost at my location is actually R2500-00 but that they can do it for me for R2000-00, now that they know my exact location. R2000-00 to R1200-00 then R2500 and back to R2000-00 is ridiculous and unacceptable simply because every time we spoke i gave them the exact same address. Just seems like a lot of thumb-sucking when it comes down to their installation costs. I suggest better communication between their management and sales staff to resolve this issue.

Regards Bruce
