Hostage Massage

<p>I bought a voucher from Groupon for a full body massage, facial and an additional treat from Internal Beauty Spa for R289. I gave this as a present for my sister in law on her birtday in September. I did get mail that Groupon South Africa has been closed down but all relevant vouchers are valid. My sister in law made an appointment for the 9th November and when she was half way through with her treatment the owner (Angie) suddenly stormed in and said that the vouher has been refunded and that she will have to pay herself for the treatment. She then phoned me to get clarity, I then spoke to the owner to find out what the problem was. The owner demanded full payment and mentioned that my sister in law will not be allowed to leave the premisses without me paying the full amount of R1350. I did mentioned to her that the voucher amount was only R289 and that I was prepared to pay her that amount but she refused and then said the lease she will take is R800. She again stated that she will not allow me sister in law to leave without me paying the money. I then had no choice as to do a cash send for R800.</p> <p>This kind of behaviour is unacceptable for me from someone who has to work with the public everyday.</p>
