Worst bus drive ever!
I type this with the outmost hurt and disappointment due to the lack or respect and disregard we received as passengers of the Intercity Express Bus going from Johannesburg to Durban on 3 December 2019 at 20:45pm. Firstly I personally feel that the bus was driving too fast, considering death tolls due to accidents, especially in rainy weather. Secondly after arriving at Montrose for the 15min break, we all disembarked the bus accordingly to our different food courts and restrooms, please note there's also children travelling. Seeing that it was pouring drastically and very cold since it was the wee hours of the next morning, we all hurried back to the bus. Only to find that the driver had locked the bus and went to get himself food. We stood outside cold and wet from the rain and no one could help us in getting the bus, not even other bus drivers that saw us struggling, the door was locked! After almost 30mins of waiting, driver finally strolls back and says we caused ourselves to be cold, why didn't we come look for him!!!! How can a whole bus driver, carrying lives of the old and young, and I'm pretty sure with years of experience, expect us as the passengers who paid close to R350 for this trip, to run around looking for him in the rain??? Kids got wet and cold, I was wearing a tiny top with no jersey and I almost froze to death. He showed no remorse when confronted, not even an apology. Instead he just got behind the wheel and drove as he pleases! I feel this matter should urgently be addressed because it's totally unacceptable behaviour! This same driver would take random stops to pee without even notifying us, we'd just see the bus stopping!!! I'm 100% sure that 80% of the passengers on that bus will be ill from the cold by the end of this week! I would personally demand a refund because that was the worst trip I've taken this far! No good service or excellence as perceived....just rudeness!!!!
