Verbal Abuse & Harassment
Please see below chain of events of my trip with Intercity Express. 1) When we left Shelly Beach your driver talked on his cellphone for about ten minutes. As far as I know this is against the law, nevermind it being dangerous for us in the bus.
2) When we got to the Durban stop there were passengers that was late (employees of intercity) and we had to wait for them.
3) When they finally arrived the bus driver moved paying customers so that they could have better seats and sit together.
4) When we left from the Harrismith stop a gentlemen came to sit next to me as he was not happy with his seat that he had. He was quite a big built guy. He took up half my seat and the lady in front of me had her seat in the reclined position, I felt that I could not breathe. I then asked the bus driver if I could sit somewhere else. The gentleman that sat next to me then started making remarks that I was ****** and that I should pay for two seats if I wanted two seats. The other people on the bus then also started to shout and verbally abuse me. All saying that I am ******. Your bus driver did not even try to help me, he joined the people on the bus
