Unhappy and Angry Customer

I booked ticket for my mother from Cape Town to PE for the bus traveling 16th December 7pm. On arrival everything was checked and went to the bus and the driver's of the bus told her that she need to buy ticket for my niece who is 2years, when she told them that she was never told to pay a ticket for her they told her they will sort it out should the inspector come in the bus but she will need to pay them R300 which is half of the ticket amount. The stress that my mother had at the time when I arrived they told the same story and I told them I'm gonna make a plan for this money they can give her their numbers so that I can be able to send the money immediately I have it.

My question again is does a 2 year old pay in your busses? Is the treatment or what the driver's told my mother correct or is it how you operate?

I need these answers because if that's the case it's no difference to the abusive taxis and their driver's, and why should we trust your services if one will get such treatment? I am so disappointed that my mother had to cry with the fact that we struggled to make sure she goes home, I am upset with all this.
