I made bookings yesterday(27/03/2025) for my kids from Durban to Johannesburg on the 20h00 (Ref Number: ***, for the 28/03/2025 at one of your service providers.
We provided them (cashiers) with the birth certificates for the both kids to confirm that we were booking for the kids.
When we got to Durban Station tonight to check -in we were told that the two kids cannot be travelling alone as they are minors. We then requested that we be given a refund on the tickets as it is not our mistake that we continued with the payment and booking not having been advised that the kids cannot be allowed to travel. Intercape's service providers should know that and have known and advised us accordingly.
we requested that e be given a refund on the tickets and were advised that fir us ri get a refund we need to cancel the tickets two days before the date of travelling and we told them we booked to bus yesterday in the afternoon for today's travel therefore the two days rule doe snot apply. Your cashiers refused and advised that they can only provide us with the vouchers that we can use anytime within the period of three years.
When he came back he advised us that Intercape has charged us a 15% cancellation fee or something and he has messed up one of the tickets and therefore cannot give us the money or the voucher.
The mistake is entirely for the Intercape who should have advised us from the start that when they looked at the age of the kids, they could not travel alone, the cashier at the check-in messed up the tickets and we could not get our money back and or the voucher with the correct amount.
Intercape had just returned after their licence was canceled due to the problems that they had, are they still coming back with the same problem of de*****ing citizens of their hard earned money.
can I get my refund on the tickets please
