They should close Intercape. It's useless and a waste of time

am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration with the service provided by Intercape on our journey today (27 August 2024), which has been nothing short of a nightmare. My bus, which was originally scheduled to depart at 8:00am in Durban Station, was delayed, and we were informed that the 914 bus had a problem. We were then told that the 907 (ICG 907 GP) bus would come instead. However, this bus took an hour to arrive, causing a significant and inconvenient delay right from the start. After finally boarding, the bus broke down just after passing Pietermaritzburg, roughly 1 hour and 30 minutes into the journey. We were told to wait for about an hour for another bus to arrive, but after 1 hour and 30 minutes of waiting, I decided to call your main office in Cape Town. The lady I spoke with informed me that a mechanic was supposedly only 10 minutes away. Despite this assurance, overall we waited for almost 2 more hours in a state of complete uncer*****y. This delay left passengers, including elderly individuals with medical conditions and infants, stranded without access to basic necessities such as water. This situation was not only uncomfortable but also life-threatening for some of the more vulnerable passengers on board.

To make matters worse, after being reassured that the bus was functioning properly and everyone had boarded once again, it broke down just 10 minutes later. We were then informed that yet another bus was on its way to fetch us. As I write this email, we are still stranded, and it's been over 35 minutes with no access to water or toilet facilities, and the situation is deteriorating rapidly.

To add to our distress, the weather is unbearably hot, and the little fluids we had are forcing us to relieve ourselves, yet there are no toilets available around. This is an outright humiliation for all of us on board, especially women This experience has been the worst I have ever encountered! The extreme inconvenience, unsafe conditions, and distress we endured. Run away from Intercape. I don't recommend Intercape! NEVER!
