Unprofessional, ********* and safety hazard. I wouldn't recommend this coming, particularly if you heading to and from the EC. There's ************** when it comes to the type of buses that are allocated for these destinations. The route number was 211 IM
There was a malfunctioning air conditioner in an Intercape bus trip from King William's Town, destination to Johannesburg Park Station. This caused nearly a 2 hour delay and minimal ventilation system for Intercape clients and over all safety issues and discomfort.
I am rather upset that this coach wasn't thoroughly checked for errors before taking passengers into a long distance destination. To have hot air and a stuffy environment in a confined space due to an error in the air conditioning system. And then when they do decide to attend to the issue, we wait for almost two hours for a mechanic who ended up not fixing anything because he didn't have gas for the aircon. It's time consuming and exhausting having to wait for a mechanic to fix what should've been serviced prior, it isn't a good way to treat clients. It is unprofessional and speaks volumes about the way Intercape views their clients.
This trip was more than inconvenient and it could have been prevented. Honestly, it's a safety issue and brings up the anxiety of what else wasn't checked before the trip because so much about the bus is a hoax. The air con isn't working, the tv isn't working, the reclining seats affect the passenger behind them so you can't recline. The lights were being fixed mid trip because they didn't switch off. The toilet is causing a stench because it's not functioning accordingly.
Honestly, this isn't it. How credible is Intercape as a bus company? Is this the norm now? And to pay R1000? This is a ****.
