Not so people centred.
Booked a bus from Johannesburg to Durban, 2hours into the bus trip the bus encounters trailor issues after which the drivers resort to emptying the trailer and filling the bus luggage compartment with all the luggage. Instead of continuing on with the trip we were then told we cannot move as we have to watch over the trailor until another bus comes to collect the trailor. NEARLY 5 HOURS LATER IN 35 degree weather the bus arrives with the trailor but at this point the bus's battery has stopped working. Now we are really stuck. Passengers on board have resorted to begging for water from passing truck drivers to provide water for babies and elders who are needing to take medication. Intercape head office refused to allow the bus drivers to continue with the trip once all luggage had been secured and told them their priority is to ensure the trailor was secure regardless of the passengers. It is clear that Intercape is not a people first company as people stand and guard a trailor at their own expense.
