MISSING HAND LUGGAGE

on the 6th of August 2017 the bus driver from Intercape on route from Upington to Johannesburg took my couzin's (who was sitting in the top front of the bus) hand luggage and told him he could not keep the luggage with him as someone might fall over it. There was no way that any other passenger could fall over the hand luggage as they would not have had any reason to move in front of him. The bus driver informed my couzin that he was going to keep the bag with him (the bus driver). I have followed up with Intercape on numerous occassions with regards to the missing luggage which contains his most valuable items. When my couzin got off in Johannesburg he asked the bus driver for his bag to which the bus driver told him that he gave the bag 2 two other female passengers in Klerskdorp. After we queried the incident first thing morning of 7the August 2017, a lady by the name of Kutala at Intercape advised me that the bus driver then changed his story by saying that he asked another gentleman if the bag belonged to him. The bus driver should have known who the bag belonged to as he personally took the bag from my couzin for supposed safe keeping. We have had absolutely no luck with Intercape as far as locating the hand luggage and they are reluctant in doing a thorough investigation. The feedback from Intercape is unprofessional as they closed the complaint within an hour of first reporting the matter based on the fact that they can't find the hand luggage and they refuse to be of any further assistance in the investigation. The service in their complaints department is unacceptable and unprofessional.
