Miss leading , regarding the booking of seats

I am very disappointed in the miss communication I got. I went to buy 8 tickets for me and my family to travel i n December. The sales lady advised she could not see the seat number as it is two month prior to arrival. She then gave us the call number to call: ********** . To my surprise , when I called to book the seats , I was advised I cant chose the seats as the package I took is the lowest rate at R850 per person to go to Cape town. I then requested a cancellation as the tickets were booked 2 days prior o n the 28/10/2017. I was then advised that a cancellation fee on 25% will be deducted. I need to know why the information of 3 different prices was not communicated by the sales lady and why was I advised to call in to book the seat if I cant book the seats.
