Intercape hell ride

My mother and I decided on taking a coach from Durban to Capetown for a week to getaway and celebrate my birthday. For one, the Durban station is absolutely shocking, however, inside where you weigh your bags is very clean and neat. Once the process was complete, we hopped on the bus and secured our seats. The ride to Capetown was disgusting. We never travelled on the national roads but went through townships and travelled on back routes. The amount of times we stopped to pick up people who were not at any intercape stops but rather up ***** corners and very dangerous places. We were stopped by police who had a tip off about a convicted felon smuggling drugs being on our bus and made us climb off and unpack our luggage on the side of the road whilst every one of the bus attendants took a nice pee in front of us. The highlight of our trip on the bus was that the bus attendant had to inform us about only doing no. 1's and no no. 2's as there's only one toilet. We hardly stopped for any refreshments and were denied exiting the bus. Back to the toilet issue, about half way to our final destination, we were informed about how we had no toilet etiquette (nevermind the fact that a handful of us refused to use these facilities) and that urine would in fact run down the aisle beside our feet. We gave everything of ourselves to endure this trip and the absolute stench on the bus amongst the noise made by the driver and attendants along with the sketchy people they had picked up at all hours of the night and still arrived 4 hours late to our destination. We thought before we put in a complaint, we'd see if the trip back to Durban would be any different and give them the benefit of the doubt. The trip back was even worse. The rif raf allowed on the bus, the noise, the disrespect, the number of the people on the bus, the lack of hygiene and pure rudeness from the driver, we will NEVER again use Intercape. For a fellow South African, it's shocking to know that this service is advertised for people and especially for tourists. We are very disappointed and will never refer Intercape to any body.
