Intercape chaos at Belville departure

The experience today with Intercape is only comparable with the chaos and incompetence of Eskom. On 12 Dec the Belville office is closed when I arrive 19.45. (Greyhound is open) Frantic people are running around to find their buses. No announcements are made. (except for the departure announcements of all the other companies' buses departing.) Two extremely upset people are told they missed their bus even when they have been there 19.15 for the 19.45 departure and having been asking around all the time which bus to board. I saw them, when I arrived. Intercape does not have an announcement service. Despite claiming to be the biggest bus company in the country. The 20.20 bus Ct - Bloem arrives at 21.00 from CAPE TOWN which is only 40km away and the first pickup point! No luggage stickers are available and luggage is just chucked onboard without any form of identification. When I ask for luggage stickers the driver just shrugs. Somebody mentions we will change buses 10km further at Winelands Engen because the electrics and lights are not working of the bus we are boarding. For the love of God. Why did the replacement bus not come to Belville pickup station???? The people already on board knows nothing about the change when I mentioned it. At winelands the driver got into the back and just waved his hand to the replacement bus that arrived 10 min after us. No explanation or announcement from him and people looked bewildered around before slowly getting off, very confused. I want to supervise the loading of my bag to the replacement bus but I am chased away by an extremely rude busdriver to board the bus. We finally departed 22.00 from Winelands. Intercape displayed no operational support, no communication and no customer service. I will never travel with this company again. Everybody reading this: book with Greyhound. The difference is exceptional.
