Intercape bus left me behind at the border

I bought an Intercape bus ticket travelling from Harare to Johannesburg. At the border, customs officials unduly delayed the stamping of my passport. I informed the bus drivers of my situation (which was no fault of my own as I have held and travelled with my passport and visa multiple times before) and requested their assistance as they were assisting other passengers to get their passports stamped as well. One of the drivers indicated that he would return to assist me and proceeded out towards the bus, which I assumed was to expedite our passage through the border. The second driver also had communication with me and I indicated that my passport was being held by the customs supervisor, to which he did not respond or offer any assistance. After I eventually got my passport back, I realised that the bus had already left the border without me and with nobody having the courtesy to inform me that the bus had left. I proceeded to call in to the call centre and after speaking to several consultants (most of whom were also rude to me) I was informed that I would have to fund my own transportation to finish off the trip to Johannesburg.

I am highly disappointed at the failure to render good service by Intercape. I am particularly unhappy considering that I had communicated my situation and my need to the bus drivers, but they proceeded to leave me, a passenger, behind nonetheless. Had I been left behind at boarding I would understand, but halfway through the trip, after receiving information about a passenger's plight, and then to leave them behind speaks tonnes about the kind of institute that Intercape is.

The only silver lining is that I managed to recover the majority of my luggage and I pray God blesses Innocent, the one employee who went above and beyond to replace my USB cable (which I had specifically indicated as being part of my luggage but was not returned with the rest of the stuff) out of his own pocket.

If you are looking for a comfortable ride, where you are guaranteed to receive ridiculously bad service and even have a pretty good chance of being left behind while you are taking your recess or getting your passport stamped, then I recommend that you ride with Intercape!
