If the bus arrives late at the destination look at the passengers, not the service.

Not being too concerned with the negative reviews of INTERCAPE mainliner bus / coach service, I booked a trip from Cape Town to Durban, to leave on Friday the 24 June 2024 at 09h00. The bus arrived well before the time and the passengers booked in their luggage etc. The bus departed just after 9 on the route via Bloemfontein etc. The two drivers were very professional and drove the bus like experts, through the day and night time. Various stops were made to drop off or pickup passengers and refreshment stops. We arrived in Durban two hours late, no fault of Intercape but the passengers themselves who ignored the times of the refreshment breaks. the break times of 15 minutes were ignored by the passengers ordering takeaway meals etc taking up to 30 minutes before they boarded the bus. The drivers even went to the extent of looking for and checking that the passengers were onboard. My trip was enjoyable and I would use Intercape service again. The bus was clean and neat.
