On the 25th of December i went the Johannesburg park station, bought 2 tickets to durban for the 26th of December, i did not want a return because i was returining by car , i arrievd at park station at 07:30 to inform the consultants that the second person would not be able to travel as he fell ill this morning and was vomiting contiously and asked for assistance on a way forward, consultant advised me he cannot assist me because they do not cancel tickets on the day of travel, tickets can only be called within 48 hours, i did not have 48 hours notice when i bought the ticket nor did i have 48 hours to know that the person i bought the ticket for would fall ill and not be in a condition to travel, the call centre says there is nothing that can be done about that but how unfair is it on consumers to allow their money to just go down the drain, the person did not ask or expect to get sick it is something that suddenly happened my money is gone and i am just supposed to be happy about that and not be compensated, what kind of daylight robery is this, i am not happy and feel like something needs to be done about that because even in shops you allowed to request a refund if you did not make use of what you bought why does the same principle not apply to buses. i want a refund because i did not use the ticket how can you just keep back the money for goods not used?????????
