Check-in staff at Intercape Durban bus station harassing passengers for luggage which is within limit in order to make a quick buck.
The women at the Durban bus station check in are always harassing us regarding checking in luggage as they keep on wanting us to pay extra for our luggage, especially when a passenger is late, like today.Today on the 9pm bus check-in from Durban to Pretoria, my luggage weighed 11kg,2kg and 7kg plus minus totalling to almost 20kg which is within the limits but the woman insisted that I must pay R10extra because it was 3 items of luggage. And that I was not allowed an overnight bag as my only piece of hand luggage, which everyone carries. Kindly revise the protocol and procedure with your staff, as they seem to be pocketing that extra money for themselves. No other bus service harasses passengers like Intercape regarding their luggage.I almost missed my bus today as this evil woman with braids told me that if I don't pay the R10, I could not get on the bus, which I was already late for. She definitely needs to be fired or disciplined. Then when I lost my boarding stub in the rush to get on the bus, she refused to reissue another one.I rather book with another company in future as Intercape check in service is appalling.
