What is the hold up on my claims that needs to be paid out????

Good day I have submitted all requested documents for my claims to be finalized. I am an elderly male that needs to start building my life from scratch after i lost everything in a fire. When will my claims be processed and paid. Now an agent tells me that because the value is o0ver 500k that it is at an assessor or something. The house content and my car is 2 separate claims and should be treated as such. I need to start and look for another vehicle and also start to rebuild my life.
