Taking advantage of pensioners

I am writing this review on behalf of my grandfather. He has been a loyal customer with Integrisure for many years, with minimal claims. A while ago his inverter burned out, and the insurance had an assessor come look at it. Without listening to reason, this person claims that the inverter was overloaded, which was not the case at all. On the contrary, it has a much, much bigger capacity than what was being used. Now the insurance is refusing to settle the claim.

I have taken the time to write this, because it's a disgrace that pensioners are being taken advantage of.

Hi Rouxle. We understand your disappointment. As your grandfather's Broker, we have discussed this matter directly with him.

I'm still not happy. The first time they told him the claim won't be paid because it was a power surge, after which he explained that its impossible, since he relies solely on solar power. They then said they understood and will investigate further, after which they told him the next day that the unit was overloaded. Again, impossible. It was 09:00 in the morning, only 2 fridges were using power at that point. The inverter was made to accommodate much, much more than that. Now you phone and just tell him that you've explained to him it was an overload, and that's it. Your nonchalant attitude towards this whole situation is very frustrating. The obvious next step will be to look for new insurance because this is just ridiculous. But he has been a loyal member for years, and you just shrug and refuse to pay, without a VALID explanation. Because the explanations you've been giving so far is null and void. I will not leave it at this, I demand a better solution.
