INSUFFICIENT AND DUBIOUS SERVICE DELIVERY FROM IntergriSure CLAIMS DEPARTMENT: CLIENT:LC SINDEN
Good Day. I registered a claim on 29 May 25 due to the fact that I noticed that my fridge and freezer (two separate appliances) that was in perfect working condition simultaneously malfunction on the afternoon of 28 May 25. Background info: In the early morning hours of 20 May 25 a few areas including mine were left without electrical power due to a City of Tshwane substation exploded in the area(Zwartkop sub station situated in Valhalla and we were left out without electrical power for a period of eight days.
After intensive repairs by the City of Tshwane after eight days the residents were informed by the local councillor on 27 May 25 that the electric power will be restored by the City of Tshwane switching team in phases to prevent overloading to the system. After five areas were restored the electrical teams waited until the loads were even before switching on more areas. The power however tripped once again and the electrical team investigated. The power was finally restored to all areas on 27 May 25 after 23h00 that night.
After reporting the claim on 29 May 25 and informing them that I suspect that the appliances were damaged due to excessive electrical surge when areas were switched on I received correspondence via a WhatsApp message that my claim was registered and I will be provided with regular feedback.
On 03 Jun 25 I was not informed or received any feedback and inquire about the progress of my claim and only received another WhatsApp message reading as follow "Thank you, a claim advisor will be with you shortly" and a second one after that reading "Good day, please advise how we may assist you" and inform me that they asked my appointed consultant (unknown to me) to provide further feedback.
I then requested to be informed who the consultant might be and only then they provide me with the consultant details. Integrisure then informed me on 03 Jun 25 in a WhatsApp message that the consultant appointed a contractor on 02 Jun 25 and he will be in contact to execute the assessment.
Needless to say on 05 Jun 25 (days later) I was still not contacted by the contractor and once again made inquiries and were informed that they will follow up with the contractor.
A couple of days later the contractor arrived to do the assessment. Much to my surprise equipped with only his cellphone and a *****driver with which he removed the top bar where the setting control knob is and took photos. He proceed by taking photos of the inside and back of both appliances. He was not equipped with any other testing equipment for example a gas leaking device or voltage meter. I informed him also that I suspect that it was due to a power surge as the compressors did not kick in.
I was also informed that part of the delay was due to the fact that they awaits the contractors report. However on 10 May 25 (12 days later) I received a call from Integrisure and they informed me that the claim was not approved and the reasons therefore will be emailed to me. I also informed the person that I intend to dispute.
On 13 Jun 25 I received another call from Integrisure confirming the call of 10 Jun 25 and it was rejected due to "wear and tear" Now my question is: Did both appliances decided to form a conspiracy to opt out simultaneously on the same day and after the power were switched on??
On 17 June 25 I send another email requesting the rejection letter to be able to dispute the rejection. Only then I received an email informing me that I will receive my rejection letter in ten working days from the telephonic discussion with me on 10 and 13 Jun 25. Well today is 27 June 25 and I am still waiting. Not good service at all.
