!!!BEWARE OF INTEGRISURE!!!************ insurance company!!!Do NOT go with this insurance company!!!

This company is not deserving of even 1 star! Even though, the premiums are lower than many companies out there, when it comes to paying our a claim, it's a no show!

After a terrible storm, I had a leak in my ceiling, I duly approached the insurance company and in good faith, put in a claim for the damage to my ceiling. The claim was rejected owing to the fact that 1 or 2 of the battons inside the ceiling had deteriorated slightly. The insurance company indicated that they had rejected the claim because of the fact that I had not, inspected and maintained the interior of my roof structure. Having asked many homeowners how often they climb into their roof to inspect the battons and the beams, the answer was always a resounding 'never'. For this reason, I do not understand why my claim was rejected and I was basically told, too bad...

As many people in this country will know, we, in KZN, have had unnatural, severe storms with extensive flooding, over large areas. With this in mind, during one of these severe storms, my boundary wall fell over. The assessor came out after I had put in a claim for the damage. The assessor kept in mentioning a retaining wall. My wall was not a retaining wall. It was a boundary wall. I have lived in this house for over 20 years and my wall has never fallen over until this particular storm. My wall was never a retaining wall. It was always a boundary wall! For this reason, I once again am perplexed as to why my claim was rejected.

I now am in the unfortunate position of having had a burglary. I have once again approached the insurance company and put in a claim. To date, nothing has happened. The assessor has been here twice. I have heard from them that they have furnished the insurance company with all the documentation and proof that I was able to provide . There are many items that I haven't claimed for, as I cannot be sure of exactly what was taken from some of the boxes that needed to be unpacked. However, the items that I was able to ascertain had been taken, I provided as much proof and documentation as was at all possible at the time. I now sit in the dark like a mushroom, waiting, and waiting... for somebody to actually honour my claim.

This burglary occurred towards the beginning of June, and now it is almost the end of July. I literally heard from a lady working with regard to the claims just about 4-5 days ago, informing me that the documentation was provided to the insurance company and that they are waiting to hear from the insurance company.

This is the worst insurance company that I have ever dealt with and the afrikaans saying goes "goedkoop is duurkoop".

I feel sure that there are many other insurance companies with whom I could have dealt, but I was certainly taken in by the lower premiums.

I have no way to replace the items that have been ****** and damaged, some of which were specified.

I have no recourse now, am a pensioner and do not have the money to replace any of these items myself.

I will even find it hard put to pay the excess of R2000, if indeed, my claim is actually honoured.

I won't hold my breath.
