INTEC- Poor excuse of a College

I would like to start off by saying that with great frustration over the past year with communications with this college it has brought me to this review.

I app**** to study through INTEC end of 2015 when I decided to start studying Early Childhood Development Level 4. Firstly their communications and student advisory department sucks! After 100's of emails and communications with them to actually enroll for this course I only recieved my study material end of March 2016 after paying and enrolling Sept/Nov 2015. During this time of waiting to recieve my course material (after paying almost R12k for the course) my "student advisor"got back to me and told me that I was not eligible to study this course as my Grade 12 results were not recognizable to her. Now I am sure you can understand the extreme frustration that would overcome you when you hear this after the fact of paying so much money! It was after this that I was able to contact various people to get hold of a manager in this division to report what had happened. They then appologized profusely and told me to expect my study material very "soon".

On recieving my material I was shocked to find that all the material was on USB format, which is not what I was led to believe was the souce of study matrial when applying. The USB is locked therefore if students wish to print the material they actually can't. (Trust me you will have to print the material for your assignments so this is not ideal). I also ponder on the fact that there must be many students who actually cannot afford to print this much material. Some documents are over 200 pages. Which costs over R100 to print just one "book" of a subject. Also again your paying almost R12k to do this course why are we not recieving books as study material? So after figuring out I cannot actually print my assignment material as the USB is locked to this, I had to try and contact someone at the college to assist me with this. Which proved difficult as no one knew what I was going on about. Eventually I recieved advice that they will send me each document via email so I can print from there. I recieved over 30 emails the next day.

After finally being able to print my assignment material for one of my subjects (Communications), I wized througn the material and completed all assignments for that subject. Feeling very accomplished I decided to hand it in. (They have an option to hand it in via email). After handing it in I waited patiently through an entire week to recieve some feedback or acknowledgment that it was recieved. But yet again no response. I thought I was being a bit impatient so decided to send it on to them again asking them to please advice once recieved.....and another week passed with no reply. I have now send this email to them many times throughout a months period and I still have not recieved any responce. I have since moved to Canada for 18 months (which the college has been made well aware of, over a telephonic conversation) and as the time difference is 9 hours its proving even more difficult to get hold of them on the phone. Yet I continue each day to try get through to them to no avail.

They also assign you a student advisor to you at the beginning of your course but they have no knowledge of the course you study or able to assist you with general inquiries.

I have spent a lot of my hard earned money on this course and if I get no reply on my assigments how am I expected to complete it in their allocated time frame, when I am not getting the student support I need?

Very frustrated!
