INTEC LIES AND DECEIVES STUDENTS ABOUT CERTIFICATES

I completed my studies and received my final assignment results on the 16th of November 2018. I was informed by INTEC that I need to contact them once I had received all my assignment's results to request the letter of completion as well as the certificate.

I made contact with Intec on 17 November 2018 requesting the above mentioned. After numerous follow-up phone calls, with much begging and pleading, I eventually received the letter of completion. I was informed that ETDPSETA would do the verification of my portfolios and will issue the certificate. I was told that this would take place around the end of November. This didn't happen. I was then told that ETDPSETA never went to INTEC to do the verifications. I was eventually emailed by Jodie Johnson in May (again after numerous phone calls and emails) who requested the necessary documentation in order for verification by ETDPSETA.

I submitted the documentation on the same day. I received no acknowledgement of receipt at all. Again I phoned Jodie. I was assured that ETDPSETA would be doing the verification by the end of July 2019 and that my certificate would be issued. I was told by Jodie to follow up during the first week of August.

I contacted Jodie again, as arranged, in the first week of August for feedback. I was told that there was a miscommunication between INTEC and ETDPSETA and that ETDPSETA never arrived to do the verification of the portfolios.

I then spoke to Olivia Dennis on 14/08/2019 who I believe is the manager in the National Qualifications Department. I was informed by her that she has been in contact with ETDPSETA regarding the date for the verifications to take place.

In desperation I contacted ETDPSETA myself. I spoke to the lady who actually does the verifications and was told that she in fact did visit INTEC at the end of July.

I phoned INTEC again on 19/8/2019 to follow up on the email I sent them. Again I spoke to Jodie Johnson. Her reply to me was “I don’t know what to say”. I informed her that I was in contact with ETDPSETA and knew what had happened with the accreditation process. Because INTEC didn’t have their paperwork in order, the accreditation for both the Paralegal as well as the ECD students could not be completed. When I asked her why they were lying to the students regarding the accreditation, her reply was that she / they were told to do so.

So after close to 30 emails between myself (mostly myself) and INTEC as well as the 100’s of phone calls I have to make to constantly follow up, as well as seeing the complaints from other clients and students I have to ask……HOW CAN INTEC BE ACCREDITED AS A CORRESPONDENCE COLLEGE. How did they get accredited through UMALUSI, ETDPSETA , SAQA etc. They are irresponsible with people’s qualifications and futures.
