APPALLING TREATMENT TOWARDS A STUDENT WHO HAD COVID!!

Whilst I am aware of COVID throwing the world into total chaos, it is not excuse for an institute of higher learning to treat students with the utmost disrespect. My story in short: during June 2021, I was scheduled to write my 2 final exams (on the 9th & 10th respectively), however on the 7th June 2021 I contracted a sever case of COVID and was unable to write. I immediately alerted the college to this, sending all supporting documents through. I was then told that I would be given an alternate date to write the exams. Finally a date of the 25th was given but i was still very ill and was unable to write. I immediately informed the college and was told again, I would be accommodated and special dates would be given. I advised them at the time that I would not be able to write in November as I was getting married. From June up until beginning of November i had contacted the college on numerous occasions to obtain exam dates. to no avail. eventually I was told i would write on the 3rd & 4th December 2021. I contacted the college on a weekly basis, requesting written confirmation of the exams. Finally 2 days before my exams i received confirmation only to be told I should have written the 1 exam on the 12th November (the day before my wedding), with the second on the 3rd December. I immediately contacted the college and was told that I would only be able to write my second and final exam in June 2022. 1 year later from when i should have written. I am a contract employee at the Vaal University of Technology who's opportunity to become permanent is now hanging by a thread. I should have finished my qualification this year. The college should have made an exception as a result of COVID. I was even informed I could write via private invigilation, which I paid for immediately. Not only that, I submitted 2 assignment in March 2020 and I am still waiting for confirmation of the results!! When you phone to complain, you get told by the call centre agents, they are not allowed to put you through to the Head Academic and you must submit your complaint to the support email - which is pointless because you don't even receive a response on that!! I am appalled and disappointed in the manner in which my case has been treat and WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS COLLEGE TO ANYONE WISHING TO FURTHER THEIR STUDIES!!! If anybody should wish to query this, I have the paper trail of the correspondence that has transpired.
