unfair warranty claim rejection and unauthorized debit

I am writing to lodge a complaint against InsureAfrica Underwriting managers, regarding a highly dissappointing and ********* experience i have had with their car warranty service. I took out a warranty for my vehicle through InsureAfrica, under the impression that i was fully covered in the event of a mechanical issue. However, when i submitted a claim, i was told that my claim was rejected because i did not "qualify for the cover" i was claiming for. Instead,i was told i was only covered for something far more limited. Something i was never told at the time i took out the policy. Due to this lack of transparency and what's consider to be a misleading conduct, i chose to cancel the warranty. InsureAfrica confirmed in writing that the contract had been cancelled and that no furtherbdebits would be implemented.

To my shock, the very next month, my account was debited again by InsureAfrica. Immediately, i contacted them to request a refund, but my calls were abruptly disconnected, and i have not received a response to the email i sent them shortly thereafter.

This is unacceptable, i feel deceived and financially exploited. I demand and immediate refund of the unauthorized debit and a written confirmation that my details have been removed from their billing system.

Good day Sir,

You were sold the Policy by Argentum not InsureAfrica.  As a UMA, we do not sell directly to the public.  As such, any complaint that you may have regarding the sale of your Policy is to be taken up with the correct entity as well as logged against the correct company.

You submitted a cancellation request via our Customer Care department on the 18th of June at which time, we duly notified Argentum.

Whilst we regret any negative experience you may have had in your dealings with InsureAfrica, we do ask that you state the facts correctly when complaining on a public forum.

I will reach out to your on the email address you have provided.

Regards, Chantal

Thank you for your message, first of all I would like to confirm that I canceled the policy on the 2nd of June 2025 and received a response the same day confirming that my cancelation request had been processed. I submitted the request via email to *** za, and the response i received was from Nkuli Maseko, a customer care consultant at InsureAfrica, as per the signature on the email.

The reference number for my request is MCPE002008. Given that all communication regarding this policy, including the confirmation of cancelation has come from insurAfrica, I am surprised to hear that this policy is not associated with your organization. All I want is my refund at the moment so we can part ways
