Motor Warranty (Clutch)
InsurAfrica
Worst service ever , I regret taking this product , no matter which way you look at it , they will always find an excuse not to pay , an avoid any payments been made , as a laymen I don't know much about modifications , according to InsurAfrica I have installed the car with an Air Intake an Exhaust , here again when i signed purchase of the vehicle it was as is , Insurafrica sent out an assessor to find something that will reject the claim , InsurAfrica should consider sending out to an assessor to the dealership prior on taking delivery of vehicle to view if there car is under manufacture specifications , All customs don't know much about this especially first time car owners. I can not express any more the injustice that i was put through.
I am a person of principle , If I was at fault I would never of been writing this review and be going back an forth with this claim. I will accept that I was at fault ,
I would never recommend InsurAfrica to anyone.
Below is the following points on what transpired.
1)The Vehicle was sold to me with a warranty by the Salesperson on 21/11/2018 2)I was not advised that the vehicle had any modifications 3)On 03/03/2020 the vehicle broke down on the highway.I made contact with the insurer and was instructed to have the vehicle towed to the RMI Workshop 4)Rmi workshop advised that the vehicle clutch malfunction was due to "SPLEEN ON CLUTCH PLATE SLIPPED ONTO THE GEARBOX SPROKET SHAFT" 6)Clint from Insure africa requested pictures of the stripped gearbox which were sent to him.Clint declined the claim advising based on the pictures indicated wear and tear of the clutch mechanism 5)The insurance assessor was requested to view the vehicle as Clints opinion differed to that of the RMI workshop technician 6)The assessor advised that the vehicle was modified with a exhaust and air intake system and this deviated from the standard terms of cover 7)The dealer principle and sales lady does not want to take responsibilty and shying away from the fact that no mention was made of the vehicle modification at the time of the sale.Emails on record just indicate them requesting documents and passing mails from one person to the other 8)The insurer (Ms Chantal Pollacch) advised on email to the saleslady that the customer mentioned that he was aware of the modification. At no point did i speak to Chantal , neither did i state that to any individual who i contacted. 9)As a layman these companies are pushing me around. 10)Once again I need to stress that I did no modifications to this vehicle an have kept it in pristine condition.
