InsureAfrica warranty is not worth the paper its written on
Was forced to include an extended warranty when purchasing my car and when I eventually needed to claim on engine failure they offered to pay the dealer R9000 on a quote of R173 000. As this is way more than the car is worth I have no alternative but to s**** it and the final joke is they will not pay the R9000 to me unless they are in receipt of a PAID INVOICE for R173 000 to have the engine rebuilt. Total waste of the R11 000 I paid for this warranty and as far as I am concerned this company is a big ****... I will never support them or any motor dealer that insists that I take out a warranty with them ever again

07 Feb 2022, 14:35Good afternoon Darren. Whilst we do understand that you are upset about the manner in which your claim was authorised it was done in accordance with the Warranty Terms & Conditions and to which you agreed at point of sale. The sequence of events as you have stated above is not factually correct. We have communicated with you extensively via email regarding your claim and provided you with feedback every step of the way. The Warranty is in place to protect you against Mechanical or Electrical failure and to keep your vehicle in good working order. You would need to complete all repairs to your vehicle in order to keep the benefits of your Warranty. We state in our wording that we will pay your nominated repairer for the authorised work done on your vehicle. It does not state in your Warranty that you will be partially refunded for repairs not done to your vehicle which, is what you are requesting. You also exercised your right to appoint your own independent assessor who, came to the same conclusion as our appointed assessor and as such, the ruling of the Claims department was upheld. Regards InsureAfrica
