Insure Africa not willing to listen to reasons.
Hello
I am a member with Insure Africa since 2018.
They convinced me that when I take this insurance for my 2000 model Toyota Corolla that i will have peace of mind.
Fast forward tot 2020.
Crisis struck, my Toyota broke down due to cambelt failure.
I phone Insure Africa and explained to then what the problem was.
At first they were very helpful by towing my vehicle to a RMI approved service center.
Well that is were it stopped, that was about a week ago.
Since then I am battling to get the claim going.
My car was last serviced in June 2020 (cambelt was replaced) and the plan was to service it again before June 2020.
What happened in early 2020?
Covid-19 struct and everything was closed down.
Me and my wife financial income was also severely impacted as o business could be conducted due to the lockdown restrictions as well as travel banns.
Insure Africa asked why the car was not serviced in 2020?
I explained to then my situations and that the plan was to service the car in December 2020 when my wife receive her annual bonus.
They did not even respond to that explanation, no they immediately said if the service was not done before June 2020 the claim will be rejected.
They are willing to accept my monthly premiums, even during the whole lockdown period that is still in effect today, but they are not willing to listen or compromise when a client are in crisis.
Is this how these people do business?
Just take your money and that is where it ends.
Please advice on how I need to proceed to get my car fixed with and insurance that basically means nothing when you are in crisis.
Regards
Willie Botes

I understand the whole explanation but do you understand my explanation?
Now you want me to service a broken down car.
Then you suspend the policy for 60 days that in effect means that I will not be able to use my vehicle for 60 days before the claim can be approved.
How does that make any sense and how does that give me peace of mind?
