A sour deal, InsureAfrica a ****!

I lodged a claim for minor scratches around July 2020. Claim was approved at R3000 to which I wrote back to ask if I can access the full amount claimable over 12 months amounting to R6000. I was requested to send pics and quotes, which I did send. Only for the claim to be denied reason being that they had approved the claimed damages earlier. As a result I forfeited for the year and can only claim for new damages.

Good day Sir,  you plan wording clearly states that you are limited to R 3000 per claim therefore it is not possible to claim the annual limit as this is an annual limit (i.e. maximum within a 12 month period).  Further to that, any claims over R 6000 are deemed Short Term Insurance damage and as such, should be claimed under your Short Term Insurance policy.  Kindly provide your Plan number.

Regards, InsureAfrica

I should have been advised as such when I sent an email enquiry gonna if my request was possible, however the response was for me to send quotes and pics of damages. I may have misunderstood to policy wording but to forfeit the claim is totally unfair. You don’t do business in good faith, I still have damaged that may be fixed, either partially to the amount equivalent to 1 claim if I was so advised

Good day Sir, I have accessed your plan.  You claimed for your rear and front bumper on the 29th of July from Smash Auto Montana.  An amount of R 3000 was duly authorised.  You then attempted to claim on the 30th of July for the very same incident (front bumper) from Wonderboom panelbeaters.  The second attempt by you to claim for an incident that you had already claimed for and  been paid for was quire correctly declined.  Based on these findings we will be contacting you directly via your email address as listed on this complaint pending an investigation.

I did not attempt to claim. As far as I know I claim through you, you advised me to look for 2 quotes. As for Smash Auto, you Approved my claim lodged last year July, for the front bumper which I did have it fixed. I’m sure you have pics which will indicate that it was not the same damages. Relook, and you will see that these are genuine claims, just be objective and look at the pics submitted

Do you mind if we come to a conclusion on this platform, I am not confident that communication will be fair if it’s private
