7 Days notice to pay R4300, ***!!!!!!!!!

I received a letter stating (in short) that I owe the rental company R4289.68 and have to pay within 7 days - AND that my plan has been suspended until the money is paid. a Letter already having been processed by your legal team.

Now tell me, what is the point of insurance - with the purpose of protecting ones immediate financial interests from an affordability perspective, in the event of emergencies, when you do things like this?

How the hell can an INSURER of all industries, which is supposed to assist with the spreading of unforseen repair costs, send me such an INITIAL letter demanding payment within 7 days already?

An initial invoice should at least first be sent affording me 30 days or so to settle, so that I am able to budget effectively. It is ludicrous and totally inhumane to expect R4300 with 7 days' notice, with such a threatening tone!

The future of your reputation lies in the outcome of this matter, as far as I am concerned. This is not going to fly!

Good day Sir,  these are costs that you have incurred directly with the Car Rental company and have nothing to do with InsureAfrica.  You also agreed, at point of rental , to adhere to the Terms & Conditions of the rental company.  As such, the responsibility remains yours to settle any outstanding amounts directly as agreed.   There is no facility that we are aware of where a rental company gives you 30 days to pay off costs you have directly incurred whilst using their vehicle.  This a further not a reflection on the Insurer as this is not an Insurance product but a VAP (value added product) where we, the Administrator merely facilitate the rental however, as duly noted in our Plan wording,  the agreement and Terms & Conditions of your rental remain strictly between you and the rental company.  Please do re-direct your complaint to the rental company concerned.  Regards, InsureAfrica.

Good day, your response above excludes several concerns already discussed via email, so I will assume that you are not aware of the ongoing correspondence. I have submitted my concerns to your office and it was referred to the rental company and your lawyers, with a confirmation by your customer service department that they would get back to me with a response via e-mail. I will therefor ignore your statement above as I am awaiting feedback via email.
