Instagram got hacked

Instagram service is pethetic, as they enable hackers to take over your account. I mean you set up the account with your email and contact number and yet you unable to retrieve your account after it gets hacked. I reported the account how many time the account does not get put down or nothing these people are now trying to hack my followers now as well everyday I must get messages from followers that the hacked account is sending messages after reporting the account nothing happens to it.
