********* Service

Good Experience Went Bad!!

On Tuesday the 14th of July 2020, I purchased a vehicle from Inspectacar. The vehicle is AA approved according to the dealership. I traded my Opel Corsa for the Polo GTi.

On my way back home from collecting the vehicle, it came to my attention that the lighter is not working and the passenger airbag is showing that it is off. Which already was a red flag for me, then all of a sudden the engine light went on and flashed for a few seconds and went off again and the next morning it was dripping water. I then got in touch with the Agent that sold me the car known as Johan, he then told me that he will make arrangements for the vehicle to be collected from me and taken into their workshop. My vehicle stood in their garage for 2 days.

When I got the vehicle back everything seemed fine, except for the lighter and the airbag still not working and showing off. Nobody informed me of what the problem was, they just brought back my vehicle and called it a day.

On the 21st of August 2020 on my way to work, the same thing happened. Engine light went on, flashed for a few seconds and went off again, once again I got in touch with Johan where he told me to bring the vehicle to their workshop. I took off from work on the 24th of August to take the vehicle to them, this time I waited for my vehicle as I was told they do not have loan vehicles for me to use, so I had to sit there for 5 hours plus. I informed the mechanic that was working on my vehicle at Mahindra in Wonderboom about the lighter and the airbag once again so they can fix it.

After sitting there the whole day, I got my vehicle back, when I asked what the problem is, I got told it was a plug that needed to be replaced.

On my way home I realized that the lighter is STILL NOT WORKING and the Passenger airbag is STILL SHOWING THAT IT IS OFF!!

On the 11th of September 2020 on my way to work, ONCE AGAIN for the THIRD time the engine light went on AGAIN. I repeated the process and got in touch with Johan, where I was informed that he no longer works for Inspectacar and that I should phone the manager. I got in touch with the manager where he asked me to once again bring the vehicle to the workshop, which meant again taking off from work, losing my salary more. The vehicle was standing there since the 11th of September. On the 13th of September 2020, I received notification that the driver will be bringing my vehicle back as everything has been sorted out. After waiting 2 hours for the driver I phoned Mahindra to confirm where the driver is, when I was told that the driver has brought the vehicle back to the workshop as my turbo stopped working. At this point I was fed up, how can my vehicle be 100% and all of a sudden my turbo breaks? They told me that the vehicle will need to stay with them so they can fix it, I had no other option than leaving the vehicle in their care as they needed to fix the turbo.

On Tuesday 22 September 2020 I decided to follow up on the progress of my vehicle, where I was informed that they have submitted the claim to motorite and awaiting approval. I decided to phone Motorite to follow up as to why it is taking so long to approve the claim, the lady then told me that they have not received a claim for my vehicle as yet.

I phoned Mahindra back asking them for a reference number where they could not provide me with one and I was told that they will email me the proof. After waiting hours and not receiving anything, I contacted Inspectacar as that is where I bought the vehicle, when I was told by Natasha and Derick that it is out of their hands, I have to sort it out with Mahindra.

I contacted Motorite 3 times and all 3 times they could not find a claim for my vehicle. I again contacted Phillip from Mahindra as I wanted answers. Phillip then told me that he submitted the claim online with Motorite, but when I phoned Motorite they told me that they don't even have an online claim system, everything works through calls.

I have been given a loan vehicle to get to work but this vehicle has been showing that it needs a service since I got it. On the 26th of September the loan vehicle started flashing lights and the power steering and ABS stopped working. When I phoned Melanie from Mahindra she just said there is nothing that she could do and that I need to bring the vehicle to them on Monday! I then decided to look for myself where it was a lose wire. Everything worked again after that. Then again today the 28th of September the vehicle started shaking and water lights started flashing and power steering stopped working again. I then got in touch with Phillip from Mahindra, he told me to go to the vehicle, open the bonnet, and check cables on the battery as he knows it does have a electricity short.

I drive far for work as I work in JHB, I drive through CBD JHB early morning hours for work, I told him that this vehicle is unsafe and I do not feel safe driving this unreliable vehicle, I am a woman alone and this vehicle can break down anytime. Phillip told me to sort the problem out myself as he is not sending me another vehicle??

I am not leaving this here! This is wrong and customer service is not ethical. To this day my vehicle is still there, and if I do not call them, I nevet get feedback.
