Sense of urgency

hate experiencing bad service more especially when I’ve been patient and not acting like a brat but when it’s time to voice out then I WILL DEFINITELY DO THAT!

I bought a car at a dealership called InspectaCar in Benoni last Wednesday. I walked out as a happy customer until I called a salesman that has been assisting me with the car to get the car’s roadworthy certificate. The certificate took long enough then I decided to take it to the testing station myself, paid R400 then told that my reverse lights weren’t working. Monday morning, I took the car back to the dealership not to complain but to have them fix the minor issue I was facing.

I wasn’t happy with how the matter was handled. I arrived at InspectaCar dealership at 11am then everything got attended to only when I asked for a manager at 2pm, when I was tired of waiting and had raised my voice saleman. They only started working on the car & apparently the switch was faulty and had to be replaced. Eventually the car was done and that was around 4pm and I had missed an entire business day waiting for something that shouldn’t have been a problem if all their cars were properly inspected and now I’m in panic hoping that I won’t be experiencing any more issues as I drive.

I’m not one to complain nor bring up the skin-colour card but believe if it was non-black person then the matter was going to be dealt with well but let’s not assume that every black person that walks in there is as timid and apologetic as they all are. Every customer should be treated fairly and given the same respect. I left feeling not-so-important and definitely won’t be spreading good news about InspectaCar.

The car was/is registered in Limpopo and I wasn’t told that I will be given the GP’s registration plates. So, I went to go apply for GP’s plates and apparently I shouldn’t have it but the dealership should.

Please tell Ms. Faaiza, that with the new Customer Protection Act. The customer can take back the car within a month if not happy and not 5 days like she had mentioned. Honesty is the best policy!

Thank very much and good-luck

MK
