Inspectacar gezina

I purchased via internet a 2012 BMW 320i coupe M sport from the salesman Johann Kok and as i live in Ballito Kzn I took his word that the car was in a good condition. He sent me a batch of photos and I was happy with what I saw. I paid the Price of R224 990 for the car on the 6th May 2016. He then sent the car for RWC and even replaced one of the front tyres as it had a cut in it. He also claimed he had the car checked by BMW as requested. I had the car moved down to me via Carriers (Pty) ltd. They were responsible for a scratch on the door and there was no problem in having it repaired. However there were a lot of other scratches etc. which were not visible in the photos. This was very disappointing however bearing in mind that it is a used car I did not worry too much as the Sales Man assured me that the car had not been in any accident/s. However I am not too sure now as it appears that parts of the doors have been re-sprayed.

I received the car with no spare wheel, jack or wheel spanner etc. or spare key and a missing wheel stud, that is the lock nut on that wheel. I bought a new set of lock nuts out of my pocket and replaced all the lock nuts thinking that they could have missed it or got lost on the way to me. He promised to get me the spare key.

When I inquired about the spare wheel and jack etc. he told me that this car does not have a spare as it comes with run flat tyres. Seeing that this is my wife’s car and is used to travel (80km per day) to work, I found it perfect because if she gets a flat she does not have to stop on the busy highway and will make it home.

The problem started with the on board computer as it kept on showing that the tyres are losing air and she kept on topping it up and resetting the computer until she asked me to take a look at this and that was when I realised, there is two different types of tyres on the car. I took it to Tiger wheel & tyre and the manager verified that not only are the tyres different but they are not run flat tyres. The odd tyre on the car is the only run flat tyre. I was shocked that this company could put the life of my wife in danger by giving us not only the incorrect tyres but also untrue information. I got a quote from tiger wheel and tyre to replace the tyres for R16 040.00 I then phoned the salesman from Tiger wheel & tyre and the manager explained to him that I need to replace the tyres with run flat tyres as this model runs only with run flat tyres. His response was “What did we expect him to do?”

This is when I realised that I am not going to get any assistance from them. To date I have not received the spare key I have spoken to Mohammed the Manager on numerous occasions. Each time he says that he will speak to Johan but to date I have had no response. They want me to ga away
