I am extremely disappointed in the poor service, and false advertising of this dealership. After viewing two separate adverts this past weekend ( 01-02 December ) customers such as myself were lead to believe that the dealership was in possession of a 2017 Mercedes C Class Coupe. I made contact with both numbers provided on the Cars.co.za website, and spoke to Fuad on Sunday 2nd December. We agreed upon a viewing date, which would be early the next morning, (Monday 3rd December at 8am ). Fuad was well aware that I reside in Johannesburg, and that my father would be viewing the car on my behalf. You can imagine my disappointment when my father was told the vehicle is in fact a 2016 model. More critical to the matter, is that this error was blamed on a ‘slip of the hand’ of one of the ‘youngsters’ at the branch, in spite of this being on more than one website.
This is indeed upsetting, as this "slip of the hand" error was made on two sites, and in addition to this, the gearbox specifications was claimed to be a 9g tronic (which is only available on a 2017 model ), when it was in fact a 7g tronic (They say they don't know what this is, which is pathetic from car "experts"). Is it possible then that 2 errors were made? I am inclined to believe this is false advertising to fuel interest in the vehicle. My father was traveling out of the city and this completely wasted his time, energy and not to mention ( very highly priced ) fuel to attend a viewing that was falsely advertised. Who will be held responsible for the cost and effort involved in travelling to the dealership?
A dealership is in the business of selling cars and yet this dealership can't even get the basics right.
