Concerned about repeating passed modules
Inscape is a good institution with excellent facilities. However, it is very sad that after my son completed the first year and failed 1 module, he has to repeat everything including all the modules he passed. This does not make sense to me after spending R200 000.

04 Feb 2025, 12:40Hi LawrenceThank you for acknowledging our institution and facilities—we truly appreciate your kind words. We understand that it’s disappointing for your son to have to repeat the year. However, we do want to clarify that he was given a supplementary opportunity for the module he failed. Unfortunately, he did not fully complete the requirements, as only one of the two briefs was submitted. We strive to support our students as much as possible, but academic progression also depends on meeting the necessary requirements. If you would like to discuss this further, we’d be happy to assist.
Best regards,

04 Feb 2025, 13:19Good day
Thank you for the prompt response.
Not proceeding to the second year and repeating the module is not a concern. The concern is repeating all the modules already passed. As a practice in most tertiary institutions, you cannot progress to the next level until you have fulfilled the requirements of the previous level; however, you only repeat what you did not pass. I think it would be best for Inscape to revisit their policy on this matter.
Thank you for the prompt response.
