***** College Durban

To whom it may concern

I am appalled at the fact that institutions are being so easily available for our learners to take advantage over.

My daughter has completed her grade 12 and has recently inquired at an "Accredited Training Centre" via facebook and had set up to meet with the "Accredited Training Centres" Principal.

Upon the registration of the qualification she was assured that the Beauty course she intended on studying was Accredited with Services Seta and the institute was a registered site.

To my instinct before making payment of over R60 000 i decided to research more into the college itself.

They have claimed that the course was registered and accredited and my daughter will even be placed for employment.

Suspicion had taken me when i was told that if my daughter had registered before a date she would qualify for 50% off the course price.

After viewing the site it was almost the total opposite to what we had discussed with the campus principal there was barely any facilitation equipment for students, it was almost like an office was setup to register students then shut down, the building had for sale signs and there was not a single student in it.

I need to know how do institutions like this operate freely in south africa and i want to make sure that no other student gets caught in this situation of paying a large amount and being **** to.

Below are the details of the institute:

INOED TRAINING CENTRE Address: 25 Problem Mkhize Road Berea Durban 4 ********** 076646 ********** www.inoed.co.za

The principal running/owning the institute had assured my daughter that the institute is accredited with the Services Seta and Department of higher education and that she could give my daughter exactly what DUT offers in a year. To mu surprise offering a National Diploma in a single year is not possible.

I am grateful for doing my homework and realizing that this is a ********** institute and i plead on getting assistance to ensure that others dont get caught in this syndicate.

This institution cannot confirm or produce its registration certificate issued by the department, i was advised from the Council of Higher Education that the institution stands unregistered and the public must not enrol at such a institution and must further inform the DHET
