Warranty Problems

Today I was driven to levels of insanity, where I was willing to risk getting arrested and possibly death just to get a clear explanation for my car warranty claim Innovation Group South Africa. They were trying to unjustifiably underpay my warranty claim on my car, I called countless trying to understand why they were underpaying the claim and asked them to send me a copy of the report that they worked on for the claim so I could see what was rejected from the quote or approved, for 2 days they failed to send me a report.

Today I drove to their offices and I was denied access to their offices so I could get understanding to the matter and get the so difficult to send report. I was not taking no/nonsense for an answer, I parked the car I was using across the gate and told them that we are all not going anywhere till I get what I drove to JHB for. They called their security to get me to move the car but I would not budge, they treated to call a tow truck on me and I told them that no sane man would tow my car while I am Around. They then threatened to call the police on me for trespassing, I offered them to use my phone to call the police because I was ready to get arrested or be shot dead for demanding what is rightfully mine.

After their empty threats fell on deaf ears they called some managers of sorts to come address me. After a long while they came back down with a revised warranty claim approval reflecting more or less what I was asking for.

The sad part is that I had to do crazy things that endanger my well-being just to get assistance from a company that I pay monthly without fail. Like why must I be willing to get arrested or take a bullet from some trigger happy cop because had they called the police on me then I was definitely going to resist arrest because I was in the right. So I am left asking myself if Innovation Group is worth it?

On this matter again. So when I left Innovation on 19 June after my moment of insanity, Innovation had approved a portion of the claim and had requested that the dealership must must give reasons as to why the other parts (Turbo, Tensioner...) on the quotation needed to be replaced. I agreed with Innovation that the dealership needs to provide sufficient reasons as to why the parts need to be replaced, because we cant just replace parts for no reason.

On 23 June the dealership sent the reasons to Innovation as to why the parts need to be replaced. For days Innovation did not respond to the emails, every time that we called we were referred to resend the email to a different email account without getting any response to the contents of the emails.

On 01 July I drove to their offices once again. I had to block their gate again and prevented their staff from getting out of the building before I got a response to my emails. We had a stand off for about two hours, they threatened to tow my car and call the police on me but I was not shaken because I am now used to their modus operandi. I stood my ground and told their managers that we are all not going home till my claim is sorted. In just 2 hours they had managed to authorise 100% of their due to the claim, something that they had failed to do in days.

The moral of the story is that if you are going to have dealings with the Innovation Group then you must be prepared to be a mad man and risk it all. My advice is "run away when you see Innovation, its not worth it."
