Warranty claim rejected for injector seals and O rings

<p>I submitted a claim via halfway Ford in Goodwood for broken injector seals and O rings on my 2006 Ford fiesta 1.6tdci. The claim was rejected by the innovation group as "it was not covered under the policy".</p> <p> </p> <p>According to mine and ford's knowledge this is definitely a mechanical part which should be covered and is not routine maintenance or serviceable components. The policy specifically states that as part of the engine category on better drive 4 "all internal lubricated components" are covered up to a value of R6000. I really do not understand why this claim would be rejected. </p> <p> </p> <p>Ford confirmed that it should cost plus minus R2500 to have it fixed. I have also only serviced my car at Ford and have the full service history available for inspection. I can understand that the engine mounting is not covered because this is not inside the engine, but the repair on the injector seals and O rings definitely form part of the "internal lubricated engine components".</p> <p> </p> <p>Please consider processing this claim as I pay my premium via debit order every month.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
