Taking advantage of unsuspecting people

Innovation contacted me on Monday 30 Nov to offer an extended vehicle service plan. I agreed to the policy and was to receive a confirmation sms, followed by an email within 48 hours with the policy schedule. Today 03 Dec 2015, I have yet to receive any communication from them in confirmation of the policy - convenient, as I only have 5 days to cancel the policy without incurring penalties.

I decided to enquire with Toyota regarding the service plan I included when I purchased my car. I did in fact have an extended service plan included in the package when I purchased my car! When I contacted Innovation today, the customer service consultant was able to see that on their system! So they KNOWINGLY take advantage of people's ignorance of something they purchased 3 years ago to con them into paying for a service which they ALREADY HAVE.

Bunch of ******! Don't trust this company.

I subsequently cancelled the policy (luckily in time for no penalties to be applicable). The consultant advised that the cancellation will be effective from TODAY. Let's see if they manage to action this cancellation promptly and whether I will receive this *promised* email confirmation.
