Stay away from INNOVATION GROUP and Budget Insurance

On the 14th of July 2021, my vehicle had a mechanical failure. I remembered that I had extended warranty with Budget Insurance (Innovation Group). One of their requirements is that the vehicle be serviced by the recognised dealer (mine is Mercedes Benz Fountains).

First call to this useless company was that they come and tow my vehicle to the nearest dealer (Mercedes Benz Fountains) and I was asked a VERY stupid question of which insurance company is the car covered under...........how is that important if the Warranty Policy does provide for Towing Services.

The vehicle was finally towed to Mercedes Benz Fountains who confirmed that the Engine was damaged inside and to fix it, they obviously need to open that engine. Surprisingly, Innovation Group requested a report of what was damaged "inside the engine" and the worst part is that, their stupid policy state clearly that any component INSIDE the engine is covered. Guess what, Mercedes Benz requested that atleast R20,000 upfront payment be made to them to open the engine because they already knew that the Engine was damaged however innovation group was interested in the components that might be damaged, and this didn't sit well with Mercedes Benz Fountains due to previous experience with Innovation Group ********* behaviour. After realising that relying on this stupid policy, I will be delaying to get my vehicle fixed.....I then hired a tow-truck and requested Mercedes Benz Fountains to release my car, and on top of that Mercedes Benz Fountains gave me a copy of their diagnosis report for free.

Long story short, on the 22nd July 2021 I collected my vehicle from another dealer who charged me R61,000.

I have since requested this useless company to refund me all my premiums backing from 2019 September to 2021 July and the matter is with my Legal Team. Yes the money is too little but I am willing to fight this to the last day.

My advice to anyone looking for extended warranty on your vehicle, stay away from INNOVATION GROUP........and of course avoid Budget Insurance (Same devil with a different name).
