********** service from Innovation Group
Don't ever buy a warranty from this group. The make you use dealers who act and repair in bad faith and then won't respond to your complaints.
Vehicle has been with a dealer for almost 3 months now. Has gone back 3 times and still not repaired. E-mails to Innovation Group below.
Good morning,
I hope this e-mail finds you well.
It is with utter dismay and disappointment, that I am writing this e-mail today.
My Mazda bakkie went to Auto Pedigree Krugersdorp, to be fixed. The bakkie overheated and a quote was sent to the innovation group to have it fixed. I am going to give a brief outline of events until Tuesday 8 October 2024.
My bakkie broke on the 12th of July 2024. It was towed to another workshop Krugersdorp. After enquiring, I was told that the Innovation group does not work with this workshop, and I was given a list of repair centres in Krugersdorp. From the list Auto Pedigree was the only one who did not have terrible reviews and the bakkie was taken there on the 31st of July.
8 August 2024: The block was supposedly taken to the Engineer. (Roodepoort Engineering) 30 August 2024: We were told to collect the bakkie as the bakkie was now ready and fixed. My brother has been dealing with Odette and Marcel as he is using my bakkie at the moment and knows more about vehicles than I do. The bakkie was collected by a friend on the 30th of August. (see pictures attached, taken of the block still being in the bakkie). Please see attached e-mail where I sent the invoice to Innovation group and asked them NOT to pay the invoice as the bakkie was still giving the same issues.
5 September 2024: The bakkie did the same thing and overheated once again. My brother works in Nigel. He spoke to Marcel/Odette and told them to tow the bakkie from Nigel back to Krugersdorp. In-between all this time, my brother had to constantly follow up with them regarding the bakkie.
30 September 2024: My brother drove to Auto Pedigree to see what was going on with the repairs and why it is taking so long. He was there at approximately 12:35. The bakkie was stripped but the block was still inside the bakkie. He asked them if it was skimmed the previous time and Marcel said no. He said, that if that is what you want done, we will do it.
On the 3rd of October, he called again, and Marcel said that they now have the block back and will put it back in the bakkie. When we wanted proof that it was actually at the Engineering company they could not provide any. As per Marcel and the lady from Roodepoort Engineering, they do not give invoices to the repair centres. They gave him a number to call, (which was someone at Roodepoort Engineering), the lady said that the block arrived on Monday. I am not sure how long it takes to strip an engine and how long it takes to take out the block from the vehicle, but this was all apparently done after he left on the 30th of September. He also asked on this specific Monday that Marcel should send pictures of the bakkie without the block. They have been so dishonest, that it was hard to just trust them.
4 October 2024: At 16:45 , my friend went to check what was going on with this bakkie. She spoke to the mechanic as he was busy with the bakkie. Odette then called her to the office and told her NOT to speak to the mechanic. That he is a low-level mechanic and does not have the answers. I am asking how a low-level mechanic without answers should be working on the bakkie?? The mechanic also said that the bakkie needs to be test driven. When Judy asked Odette, how long a test drive takes, Odette said about 60km, and they can do the test drive at that time. The question raised was if you drive for 60km and it is now 16:45, 15 minutes prior to closing how they plan on doing that. The response was that they will take it for a test drive and leave the bakkie and the keys at a garage opposite the workshop. In town in Krugersdorp. We do not know anyone at that garage and believe that this would not be a safe option. The bakkie was then yet again left at Auto Pedigree.
9 October 2024: My brother called again and asked how far they are with the bakkie. Odette’s response came take it if you want. He then spoke to Marcel who said the engine light is still burning. There was NO engine light burning when the bakkie was taken to them. Marcel’s response first was that it was because of a cable in the gearbox. There after said that we should take the vehicle to West End Auto, because they don’t have the software to reset the engine light.
I would also like to question the warranty on this job done. When I spoke to Kanyisa (from the claims department) she said that they dealer gave a 12 month or 20 000 km warranty. As per Marcel and Odette they only give a 3-month warranty.
I am sure you can understand my frustration with this company. We are not getting anywhere with them, and I believe that they do not work in good faith. I would really like to request that this vehicle be removed from their property and taken somewhere else. I do want to ask for an exception to take it back to the other workshop. We have worked with them in the past and do trust that they will be able to sort this out.
I am looking forward to your feedback URGENTLY.
Second e-mail after a diagnostic test suddenly surfaced after the workshop (Auto Pedigree) said that they cannot do diagnostics. Report given to me was for a 1996 bakkie and not even the same model as my bakkie.
