MFC PowerUp Policy through Innovation Group
<p>I took out a PowerUp Policy with MFC when i financed my car. This specific one covers Wipers, brakes and Battery. Yesterday morning my car (POLO 1.2 TDi BlueMotion) had dificulty starting and not once during the day could the Start/Stop function be activated due to low battery voltage. I too the car to battery Centre to be tested and they had to redo the test a few times before it was sucessfull, the readings were literally on the border of faulty, its so close that the guy told me if I wait another day or two the test would definatelly fail especially because this car uses the start/stop function so the wear and tear on the battery is more than usual, and that with the first real cold morning the car might not start at all. So i remembered I have this thing at MFC and proceeded to get prices at Battery Centre and also VW. I phoned MFC to see what the procedure would be and if it's coverd or not (i wasn't sure when it expires). They told me that I'm still cevered up to 89000Km or Aug 2017 and that I just need to take the car into VW and they will take it from there. So I went back to VW and made the booking as they told me. This morning I took the car in and what was supposed to take an hour (1hr to replace a battery...) went up to two hours, of that 45minutes was spent by VW having to wait in a queue on the phone before someone could help them. Once they eventually got through they were transfered to another agent and had to wait again. Then the agent asked them a bunch of questions and asked them to send the test report whcih is basically a piece of paper that looks like a till slip with all the readings and an overall Yay or Nay on it. The guy told me that thier internal VW tests shows that the battery is indeed faulty and needs to be replaced, but beacuse the word GOOD is on the slip;even though anyone fimi**** with car batteries will immetiatelly tell you that the voltage and amps are so low and beacuase the battery does not want to charge anymore and that the battery needs to be replaced; they will decilne it because of the one word. At present we are still wainting to hear back from Innovation Group and it's now sitting on 4 hrs and still no battery has been replaced. Depending on the outcome of this very bad expierience with them I might change the review rating. I inittialy thought that it was a good thing to take out the policy but now I'm seriously concidering putting away the fee each month and not have to sit with this mess. My work depends on me having a car so it is unacceptable for me to have an unrelible car especially with me driving around the whole day</p>
Was contacted by Innovation Group the next day. We came to an agreement and the battery has since been replaced. I recived outstanding support form the Support Agent that Contacted me.
