Innovation Group Warranty Claim bad service
Terrible experience with them. I bought a 2nd hand car last month, it came with a warranty from them, 2 weeks into my ownership of the vehicle, I start getting clutch troubles, I don't even drive all that regularly, I've been taking the Gautrain to and from work, and only drive the car on occasion, to get around town. In that 2 weeks prior to the clutch problems, the longest drive I made, was from Pretoria to the Airport, 3 times. I call the dealership where I got the car from to let them know of my problems, they instruct me to take it to get diagnosed and fixed , and give the workshop/service centre I take it to my Innovation group policy details and they'll handle it. I did as instructed, today I get an email from Innovation telling me they rejected the claim and will not cover the cost of repairs, as it falls under "normal wear and tear". So I call them to find out more, they tell me they asked the workshop for pictures of the clutch kit and from there they could tell it was from "normal wear and tear", I asked them what was the condition of the clutch before I bought the car, they tell me it wasn't inspected, but "they know for a fact, from looking at the pictures, it's normal wear and tear". I really don't understand why they didn't inspect the car before they sold the policy, and how they say with such surety that the damaged clutch kit is from normal wear and tear. And how could that "normal wear and tear" happen in a space of 2 weeks? Now I'm stuck having to pay for the repairs myself, even though I have a warranty, that was paid upfront.
