Beware of Innovation
An 85month or 75 000km service plan... What a joke...
The first date of registration of my vehicle was 27 September 2013, the kilometres at present is 47 309km so it is well with in the contractual terms to perform a service as specified in the general terms and conditions of the contract.
I've booked a service with the local Nissan Dealer to perform an annual service, as this is a second vehicle (hence the low kilometres). According to me Innovation should have honoured the service as scheduled, however not so...
My nightmare began 28 August 2019, when I took my vehicle to the dealer for it's service and they phoned me stating that Innovation rejected the authorization, do to the vehicle being out of its service plan.
The service payment/authorization was rejected, as the 75 000km service was already performed according to them and the service plan was only for the first 5 services...
Why then, when they sell the product, they say 85 months or 75 000km which ever occurs first (of which none was reached this far).
I am livid, as the service plan included a timing belt change, which was never done on the vehicle, because of the low kilometres and age.
I feel I've been conned, and am advising people I care about, to stay AWAY from Innovation, as they do not honour their contractual terms. This is supposed to be a legal contract, which I feel that they are in breach of and I am going to seek advice.
So beware, you pay R10 397.81 for the service plan, they pay R 8 263.74 for services rendered and pocket a nice amount of R 2 134.07.
I've got my invoices to prove, as well as my contract. So Innovation, you don't want to honour your side of the deal, I want R 2 134.07 refunded. Fair is fair...
