INNER SECRETS LINGERIE

I am going on a trip abroad this evening and bought a "dream bralette" for the trip from Inner Secrets Lingerie at the V&A Waterfront branch yesterday, late afternoon. The saleslady was helpful with my fit and mentioned that they have a branch at both Cavendish and Sea Point in case I needed a bigger size and that they could request it be brought to their shop for me. I stated that I lived in Sea Point and could pop in there myself. I bought the S as they had no M and was under the impression that I could swop it for the bigger size at the Sea Point branch where I reside. At no stage did the saleslady inform me that I could not do an exchange on a bralette. I took the size S (to the Sea Point branch) and requested the saleslady at the Sea Point branch check the fit of the S on me to see if it fitted correctly. The bralette was still in the original packaging, wrapped in tissue paper, unopened and clearly visible that it had not been worn. She agreed that it was too tight around the back. The saleslady at the V&A did not inform me that it was too tight around the back. The saleslady in Sea Point called the saleslady at the V&A and they discussed how to do the exchange. I then decided to take the "Hanky Panky" bralette instead as the M was a little too loose and told the saleslady I would pay the extra amount. The saleslady in Sea Point then called her boss, the owner of the stores to double check that she could do the exchange from one branch to the other. He refused the exchange. I now sit with a very expensive bralette that I cannot wear. I am aware that lingerie shops do not exchange panties but there are many retail stores that do exchange bras and bralette's. His stores have no signage anywhere stating that there are no exchanges on bralettes.
